According to him, headmasters and mistresses caught “throwing spanners into the works” of the programme are nothing but saboteurs and nation wreckers.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), over the weekend Dr Adjei Kraku disclosed that the interdiction of some nine heads of schools and sacking of two others by the Ghana Education Service (GES), is a steep in the right direction.
“They should stop sabotaging this good initiative by President Nana Akufo-Addo. This is a policy that would bring great blessing to this country and so those trying to draw us back are enemies of the people,” he said.
He added that the swift intervention of GES in interdicting the headmasters should send a strong signals to others that, the Akufo-Addo led administration won’t joke with the interest of the people.
“I will urge the government to continue to police the implementation of the policy so that it really becomes the blessing that it is supposed to be,” the Tema Mantse said.

He also encouraged all stakeholders and other financial institutions to assist the Akufo-Addo government in providing financial support to sustain the Free SHS policy.
